Documentary Shortlist
We’re thrilled to share that St Andrews filmmaker Nathan Brake has been named a finalist at the 2026 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards for his new documentary '1 in 3'.
The film gives voice to women whose abortion experiences have too often been silenced — stories of pressure, secrecy, grief, resilience, and courage.
This recognition builds on Nathan’s awardwinning track record, including his Best Director win for Hidden in 2020.
'1 in 3' invites audiences to listen, not argue — and to see the human lives behind the statistic.
